Ciao, excuse me, I wondered if you can help me with HTML. How do you put lines to cancel words in your posts? I mean like this: "et gratte, gratte sur ta mandoline".I just can't do it! Merci.
Anonymous (but welcome) visitor > It's very simple (but it took me ages to understand how to do it) : click "Modify HTML code" when you write your post and insert < s > to start the stuckthrough section and < /s > to finish it (without spaces).
I'd be happy to know if I've been helpful, and to get your blog URL too ;-)
Hello Francky, may I ask a question ?
Do you think guitarists wear long hair because of the lack of women in pogos ?
And what about the garage ? (souterrain)
:)
Ciao Franck, I supposed it was fine but the tag with < s > < /s > (without spaces) is not allowed by blogger beta...sigh!
Franck I was thinking why don't we start a big rock and roll encyclopedia both of us (and with the little help from anyone who wanted to)on our blogs, to teach our young readers (and all the readers who don't understand shit about rock and roll) what it's all about ?
What is the wondeful world of grind core and trash and mandoline and other stuff ....
yes yes yes !!!! ail look !!! but comment fais you ,pour denichede tous ces groupes ???? it's very extraordinerery !!! I like very very !!! tiens prends une corde dans le nez !!! ça te f'ra du bien !!! j'en veux encore de la zicmu comme ça !!! merci !!
Pretty Greluche > This question has been dividing heavy-metal experts for decades.
I’m not sure that the “Long hair” style is a consequence of the lack of women at concerts - you’d be amazed by the number of good-looking girls in the attendance of a heavy-metal concert (but not as pretty as you, of course) – but your hypothesis is interesting.
I would suggest three other possibilities :
- First of all, the traditional way to “dance” to heavy-metal is to pogo and to shake one’s head. For sure, having long hair gives a much better visual effect to headbanging.
- Another reason could simply be the lack of time. Heavy-metal bands are very busy with rehearsals, concerts, studio sessions, world tours and s*xual activities with groupies. They just don’t have time to waste to go to a hairdresser (and not even to wash their hair I might add).
- Finally, do not forget that heavy-metal mentality is, in a certain way, very close to the Hippy–Flower power movement. Having long hair is a peaceful, non-violent way to prove one’s rejection of the capitalist and consumerist society we live in (that’s probably why Metallica members cut their hair recently).
Last but not least, for a better understanding of the «garage» influence in the rock music history, my advise would be to listen to “Joe’s garage” from Frank Zappa and to “The $5.98 E.P. Garage days re-revisited” from Metallica (I can even lend them to you if you want).
So, from now, every comments have to be written in english ;-)
Anonymous > In that case, try < del > and < /del > without spaces. It should work with the Beta version.
Dragibus > What a splendid idea ! In a way, that’s what you (with great talent and commitment) and I (at a very humble level) have already been doing for a few months now.
I’m afraid I don’t know enough about rock music to write a kind of Encyclopedia. I just try to share my likings and my discoveries. In another hand, Wikipedia is a very wide and accurate source of information about rock styles, bands and musicians (I refer to it very often !).
However, something would be great : a common blog where you, me and all the other music-fan bloggers who would like to join, could post about the bands they like just by copy-pasting what they posted on their own blogs. Then it would take no extra-time for us and would gather a huge amount of information in a single location.
Let’s “keep it in the ball” and think about how we could build this up !
Furious frog from L.A. (Loire-Atlantique) > C’est great que tu liked it a lot ! En fait, I just regarde some special programs and some special chaines à la télé to discover des petits rock bands intéressants and not very connus en France by the pékin moyen. I’ll try to post d’autres videos comme this one bientôt.
Bises tout plein to all the family et keep on rockin’ hard avec le boogie-style !
Thank you Franck, your answer is pretty good, but instead of creating a brand new music blog, why don't you take part in Wikipedia's project ?
And Merry Christmas :)
